East Finchley Village

East Finchley is a suburb of North London, England which borders Highgate, Muswell Hill, Finchley, Hampstead Garden Suburb and Hampstead.

Situated just to the north of Hampstead Heath, East Finchley is the southernmost part of the London Borough of Barnet and is separated from the rest of the borough, including the town of Finchley, by the North Circular Road.

The village is well served by public transport with an Underground station (on the High Barnet branch of the Northern Line) and numerous buses (143, 263, 234, 112, H2, H3, N20), whilst the main A1 and A1000 roads provide a fast exit from London!

The busy High Road is home to many friendly shops, thriving small businesses, food outlets of every nationality and even the McDonalds European headquarters! East Finchley's biggest claim to fame though is the independently funded Phoenix Cinema, believed to be London's oldest working cinema.
