About The Archer

East Finchley's Community newspaper was named after Eric Aumonier's archer statue at East Finchley station

Founded in 1993, The Archer engages an army of well over 100 volunteers who work together to produce a monthly tabloid-sized newspaper.

Produced by the community

for the community

9,500 copies are delivered free every month to households in London N2 and small parts of the surrounding area (N10, N6 and NW11).

The Archer is supported solely by revenue from local businesses and advertisers, and by donations from the general public, known as Friends of The Archer

No one on the team receives payment and any surplus funds are used either to improve the newspaper and its activities, or to benefit the local community.
